The nature, joy, and sorrows of Purgatory--its fire, mental agony, how to avoid it, etc. Plus, the nature and happiness of Heaven--its never-ending freshness, the Beatific Vision, personal friendship with God, the "light of glory," etc. Brief but excellent.
Reverend J. P. Arendzen, D.D., was born in 1873. A native of Amsterdam, he decided to spend his life as a priest preaching the faith in England. He was known for his eloquence and clarity, which convinced the Daily Mail to name him one of England's Preachers of the Century. He is the author of Heaven Sense and Purgatory and Heaven. In the latter, the Reverend details the nature, joys and sorrows of Purgatory, as well as the freshness and infinite happiness of Heaven. J. P. Arendzen died in 1954.
