Priests of Jesus Christ Vol II

Faithfulness of Christ, faithfulness of priests' was the theme chosen by Pope Benedict XVI for the Year for Priests that began with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 19 June 2009, and ended on the same Solemnity in 2010. The catalyst for the year of prayer was the 150th anniversary of the death of St John Mary Vianney, the Curé d'Ars, a simple yet radiantly holy priest who is invoked as the patron saint of all parish priests. The majority of texts in this book are taken from the various writings, speeches, prayers and homilies that Pope Benedict gave during the 'Year for Priests'. These texts will, no doubt, inspire priests, seminarians, those discerning God's calling and others who appreciate the gift of priesthood in the mystery of Jesus Christ and give thanks to God for the same.
