What is going on in the world from a Catholic perspective? Do the Catholic saints, Church Fathers, modern Popes and approved apparitions have anything to say about things? In this book, author Mark Mallet would say they certainly do. In his view, the Catholic Church of today is facing what he calls "the final confrontation" between the forces of Jesus Christ and those of Satan. One of the most popular books available on this subject today.

It seems even faithful Christians are anxious to read all they can on prophecy and the end of time. Many things have been written and suggested, each more terrifying and electrifying than the last, it seems, so that it can be made fodder for a History Channel program, and much of what is out there goes directly against Catholic teaching and belief. This book is not like those--it is about reaching the end of the time allotted to us and about judgement and the changes coming, but it is ever-hopeful and permeated with the faith in God and in our Catholic view of the world. There are bad things coming, but God is ultimately in command as always, and there's nothing to be frightened of with Him to guide us. The take-away message is that God loves us infinitely more than we can even understand, and if we obey His commandments and love Him and one another, we'll be given the strength to undergo anything that may come. And that's a message that is needed not just for those living at the end of the world, but those living through all times.
